Final stage of the beta




Exciting news y'all, we’re getting close to the Q4 release of Tuggowar!

In light of that we’re announcing the last major gameplay and card changes. Let's give these a thorough test!


Honey, I shrunk the map

The map now has 27 lands instead of 30. We felt aggro could use a little buff. It's also prettier and makes for a cleaner mobile UI.

We’ve introduced some balancing factors though. Nation & Superpower now have 1 defense…

…and several Base set cards have been reworked accordingly:


Heightened mind games 

The information game has been tweaked. Inform still scouts the enemy's location, but not the lands itself, making it easier to hide bases.


Interestingly, Inform is no longer a hidden event. So the enemy knows when you know what they know, and the other way around 😉 By keeping tabs on Informs throughout a match you’ll be able to establish a game sense of your opponent’s strategic knowledge. Do they inform a lot or a little? Can you sneak in a Nuclear Missile??!!  


AI alignment

After community feedback the AI has been tuned to play less aggressively. The Hard AI has received a major update as well, particularly to better deal with the 5 card max.


Expansion juggling

To prepare for release, the expansions were also updated to show the best Tuggowar has to offer. Everyone who participated in the closed Beta now has all (and only) Expansions 1 to 8.
