Full Range Warfare expansion release

This latest expansion introduces cool new ways to mess with your enemy! Let’s look at a few cards to see how.

First up we got World Trade Center: a Legendary Building which introduces a new mechanic: Range.

When the enemy gets close to this Building, the Range mechanic kicks in. If the enemy has taken a land within 5 lands of where you built the World Trade Center, it gives 2 extra money. This even gives an incentive to take a bit of risk with it, placing it near the front line to make it act like a super-Uranium in every way.

And if building it close to your opponent sounds dangerous because they can steal it from you… Don’t worry, this expansion also brings something to prevent that.

It’s the perfect building to turtle behind! The defense functions just like a High Ground, so it takes 3 attack to take this land (and this Building with it).

While delaying your opponent’s attack, you can perfect your deck. And if you are a risk-taker, you can build an Outpost deeper on the map and really make use of its Range. Because when an enemy is in range, you fill your hand up to 4 cards… which replaces the card you destroyed with a draw, and possibly more.

With its defense you can also protect the next card: a Legendary Tier 3 Building.

Wreck the opponent’s hand by destroying - not just discarding - precious cards from their hand. And the better cards you destroy, the more money you get.

So… is there a counter to this massive turtle fest? Most certainly! Check out this puppy.

It’s a Tier 2 Unit that will demolish Buildings in no time. It costs a whopping 12 energy but gets cheaper if your opponent like to draw cards (and we all know they do 😊). Plus it throws a wrench in the works of a draw engine each time it attacks. It’s anti-draw and anti-turtle. It’s… satisfaction! ^_^

Besides releasing the expand we’ve also made several card changes (we care about balance A LOT):

  • Show of Force costs 8 Energy (up from 7).
  • Shock Troops has Cooldown 3 (up from 2).
  • Loot Hoarder costs 6 Energy (up from 5).
  • Tech Race now reduces Nation and Superpower by 1 Energy at the same time.
  • Diversity Officer now costs 2 Production (up from 0).
  • Terrain Study costs 5 Energy (up from 4).
  • Research Project costs 2 Money and 2 Energy (up from 2 Money).
