Community-driven development




Developing a great game is super super hard as is, but doing it in isolation is a fool's errand. Without the community Tuggowar would not be half as good as it is right now. Thanks to all those enthusiastic and dedicated players (<3!) we can get a feel for what's fun, what works, what we need more of and quickly fix bugs.  

The latest community request was for more 3 cost cards at Tier 1. Being able to efficiently use your Energy early game is just so satisfying (probably because wasting Energy feels so baaaad ^_^). Also, you can just buy more stuff!

So we cooked up three new 3 cost Tier 1 cards. The simplest change was:


We've also reworked venture. It now has Jump-Start instead of giving Support. Its costs has been reduced from 4 to 3.


Finally, Take Stock was replaced with a new card called Shopkeeper (no worries Take Stock will be back!).


It always feel like value to add cards to your deck for free and - if you can support Shopkeeper - add another! That's just the baseline though. The real fun begins with plays like:

  • Counterfeit 5 cost cards so they cost 4 energy and start adding them with Shopkeeper. Who doesn't like free Tanks?!
  • Skip the Money cost of cards. 
  • Circumvent the Rotate effect on cards like Tech Race  so the slot in your Shop won't be filled with another card. Start adding it multiples and teching up will never be cheaper!


Other community-inspired changes include:

  • Spy can now copy each enemy hand card only once.
  • Outpost has Cooldown 3 (up from 2) and the Destroy effect is no longer optional.
